Prime Minister’s Research Fellows (PMRF) Scheme

As a PhD student of National Institute of Technology, Civil engineering Department I have been chosen for PMRF fellowship.I am incredibly grateful to have been chosen for this fellowship. This scholarship is a huge help for my research expenses and I appreciate it greatly. I would like to express my special appreciation and thanks to my Supervisor Dr K. Muthukkumaran for guiding me. He is kind, respectful and patient with his students. He has such a positive attitude and his critiques are always constructive and helpful. He is definitely a great supervisor and very enthusiastic about his research field and always has creative and innovative research ideas. I am glad to have such a great supervisor.

With attractive fellowships, the scheme seeks to attract the best talent into research thereby realizing the vision of development through innovation. The scheme was announced in the Budget 2018-19.
